Julija Paškevičiūtė (b. 1993, Vilnius, Lithuania) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Bremen, Germany. She completed her Diploma and Meisterschüler*innen studies at the Art Academy of Bremen in 2020 under the guidance of Prof. Natascha Sadr Haghighian. Following her graduation Julija was a co-organiser and participant of temporary project space From the A, later on in:halt in Bremen. Between 2024-2025 Julija was a scholarship and work grant holder at the Künstlerstäte Heiligenrode-Stuhr where she presented her first solo exhibition Similar-Ähnlich and published her first catalogue In Case of not Knowing. Here she presents a hoard of drawings, ceramic objects made during the residency joint with the collection of previously made works.
Julija's way of working results in crafting of landscape-like installations that reminisce the temporary projects and passing by opportunities to create and co-create spaces, observe communities and joined experiences emerging trough that. Her work reveals and insight into the empathic potential inherent in people, objects, nature, and environments. Through that she engages with the profound concept of connection and responsibility to one another. Her portfolio comprises ceramics, drawings, and video works that bear the imprint of collective experiences and interactions with fleeting circumstances.
